Hudson Square—Manhattan’s Most Up-and-Coming Neighborhood

Hudson Square has been the talk of the town since Google and Disney announced they were opening offices in this area. Google Hudson Square will sit on the property once known as St. John’s Terminal, with construction expected to be completed in mid-2022 and occupancy slated for 2023. Meanwhile, Disney has been developing 4 Hudson Square into a new 19-story company headquarters.

A Community on the Rise

Hudson Square has been one of lower Manhattan’s most up-and-coming neighborhoods in recent years. The arrival of huge companies like Disney and Google is already impacting the local real estate market and commercial industry. Trader Joe’s, Maman and Whitmans have all moved in, while other new businesses continue to open up.

Luxury Living in Hudson Square

The local real estate market is also booming with many new developments in the works. We are representing sales for The Riverview at 219 Hudson Street. This is a boutique residential condominium building. Its 10 stories feature 14 two- and three-bedroom luxury residences that range from 1,110 square feet up to 2,011 square feet. Each condo offers beautiful views of the Hudson River and New York cityscape. In fact, more than half of the units feature private outdoor spaces. Every detail of these luxury condominiums has been carefully crafted for comfort and style.

Hudson Square offers an excellent central location, right at the crossroads of TriBeCa, SoHo and the West Village. Great shopping and popular casual dining spots are all nearby, and the community will only continue to grow once Google and Disney are full moved into their new campuses.

The History of Hudson Square

This area was once known as New York’s printing district. It has always been a media hub and home to wonderful culture. Attend a tasting at City Winery or spend a day at the Children’s Museum of the Arts or New York City Fire Museum. Many of the older residences are charming Federal-style or Greek Revival townhomes, and of course the new developments like The Riverview are offering modern luxury living in the heart of lower Manhattan.

We’re excited to be a part of the revival in Hudson Square. It’s a fantastic community with so much to offer. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store.
