Even though we are staying home and staying safe, it’s more important than ever to stay connected in whatever ways possible. A lot of people are taking advantage of Zoom and other video conferencing technology right now. The entire Tom & Mickey real estate team has been making the most of these online tools during these unprecedented times.
Zoom Team Meetings
We have been using Zoom to stay in touch with one another through weekly online conferences. Our whole team logs on together and it allows us to chat about current events, ideas, real estate transactions in process, marketing strategies and everything else we need to do in order to keep our business running as seamlessly as possible during this crisis.
We are able to discuss new concepts and plan for the future as we know things will be very different in the coming months, even when the New York economy starts to open back up. We expect the real estate market to be very active once again, even if some processes have to change in order to protect the safety of our clients. Technology like Zoom will continue to play a large part in how we conduct business in 2020 and beyond. We’re using this period as a great learning opportunity. We even just scheduled a co-op board meeting through Zoom, so we’re interested to see how that goes!
Client Consultations
Online conferencing has also enabled us to stay in contact with our clients (along with good old-fashioned emails, phone calls and FaceTime chats). We know people have a lot of questions and concerns right now, and we make ourselves available by whatever means are most convenient for them. Getting to have digital face-to-face discussions with people is more meaningful when staying connected. We miss meeting with our clients and the highly personal aspects of our work, so online video chats are the best substitute we currently have for genuine interaction.
Staying in Touch with Loved Ones
Personally speaking, our whole team is utilizing technology to stay in touch with our friends and family that we aren’t able to see while sheltering in our own homes. We know it can be tough to be away from the ones you care about most—especially in a time of crisis—so we highly recommend you find your own ways to reach out to the important people in your life and stay connected.
