The Holiday Spirit is Back in New York City!

This is always one of our favorite times of year. We truly love the holiday season in New York. There is so much to see and do throughout the city, and it’s so nice to see most of the traditional events happening again this year—along with a few new traditions to enjoy.

We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and a very Happy New Year!

2021 was an eventful year for NYC real estate as home buyers returned to the city. We’re seeing home prices coming back to pre-pandemic and pre-Mansion-Tax levels. We expect 2022 to continue with positive real estate activity in Manhattan and all the boroughs.

If you are planning to visit New York City during the holidays or you are a resident looking for something festive to enjoy with your friends and family, here are some of our recommendations:

New York Pops at Carnegie Hall

We’re very excited that the New York Pops symphony orchestra is back to put on their annual holiday concert. You’ll hear incredible renditions of your favorite Christmas carols and holiday classics performed by some of the best musicians in the world. Tony Award winner, Laura Benanti, will be singing with the orchestra for select numbers and the entire show will be conducted by the incomparable Steven Reineke. Get your tickets here.

New York Botanical Garden Light Show

The New York Botanical Garden is aglow again this holiday season! This immersive outdoor experience is truly breathtaking. You can take a relaxing 1.5-mile stroll through the beautiful botanical garden that is adorned with thousands of energy-efficient LED lights and festive holiday décor. This is something the whole family will enjoy!  Get your tickets here.

Rockefeller Center

No New York Christmas celebration would be complete without a visit to Rockefeller Center. The massive Norway spruce is a timeless symbol of our city’s grandest holiday tradition. There is always plenty to experience around Rockefeller Center during the season, including the ice skating rink, concerts and other fun activities for visitors of all ages.

Holiday Window Displays

One of our favorite things to do during the holidays is tour the holiday window displays in midtown Manhattan. All the stores bring out their best and most creative ideas. We love to walk around and look at as many as we can. This is one of New York’s best holiday traditions!

Happy Holidays from Tom, Mickey and our entire team. We wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year!
